AUTOMOBILE MECHANIC - 1 POST

REPORT TO: MAINTENANACE MANAGER

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DSM Corridor Group is seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Auto Mechanic to join our team and support the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of company vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and terminal equipment across the Bulk Terminal and other DCG terminals. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, carrying out routine inspections and servicing, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of company vehicles and equipment, and minimizing downtime through timely response and effective maintenance practices.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure proactive equipment maintenance detecting any potential problems before damage occur.
Perform inspections on equipment both inside and outside the workshop if required in order to upkeep the performance and reliability.
Advise and monitor the equipment operators in handling the equipment operators in handling the equipment appropriately avoiding potential damage.
Maintenance effective Health and Safety system in the workplace, including completion of risk assessments and method statement and tool box talks where appropriate.
Receive tools from the store keeper and ensure that the tools, equipment is handled with care and return the items at the end of shift back in good condition.
Detect malfunction of mechanical, hydraulic and air brake systems by visual and actual inspection of equipment and vehicles and coordinate with maintenance Manager on day-to-day activities.
In case of breakdowns, diagnose repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, fuel systems, hydraulic system, air brake system and components for company’s heavy and light equipment
Maintain general housekeeping and ensure your place is clean and safe.
All job done should be recorded in job card of specific machine/technical.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
At least 2–5 years of proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
Experience in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
Experience in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
Hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing light and/or heavy motor vehicles.
Experience in replacing and testing vehicle components to ensure proper functionality.
Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and major repairs.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and electrical system faults.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.
Experience in replacing and testing vehicle components to ensure proper functionality.
Valid driver's license (Class B or higher) is an added advantage.

ELECTRICIAN – 1 POST

REPORTS TO: ELECTRICAL MANAGER

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DSM Corridor Group (DCG) is seeking for skilled and proactive Electricians to support the maintenance and smooth operation of all terminal machinery, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and air compressors across Bulk Terminal and other DCG terminals. Successful candidates will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical faults, ensuring operational efficiency of terminal and bagging equipment, and minimizing downtime through timely response and effective maintenance practices.

The Candidate Duties and responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

Perform regular and periodic maintenance of all Balk Terminal machines, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and air compressors.
Carry out maintenance and electrical-related works at all DCG terminals including MCCL, Kisarawe, and Port facilities.
Ensure terminal and bagging equipment operate at optimum performance and maximum production capacity.
Monitor and control intake operations by adjusting valve openings and optimizing bagging operations through proper machine settings and accurate weight control.
Troubleshoot and attend to electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize operational downtime and ensure smooth production processes.
Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
Able to set up and maintain programmable logic controller (PLC), maintain and adjust industrial instrumentation and related device
Maintain high departmental standards by promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, efficiency, and proactive maintenance practices.
Execute instructions and assignments from the Chief Electrician and Technical Manager, including duties beyond routine daily tasks when required.
Conduct inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
Ensure workplace cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
Maintain effective and continuous communication with supervisors and colleagues regarding operational status, maintenance activities, and technical issues.
Demonstrate high standards of work quality, efficiency, punctuality, and attendance.
Comply with all company safety procedures, operational standards, and maintenance protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Industrial Electricity, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Technical/Vocational training in electrical maintenance and industrial systems is an added advantage.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
Understanding of workplace safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
Computer literacy and ability to prepare maintenance reports is an added advantage.
Previous working experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
Possession of relevant electrical certifications or licenses will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and air compressors.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
Understanding of terminal operations and bagging equipment maintenance.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

STORE KEEPER - 1 POST

REPORT TO: SENIOR INVENTORY OFFICER

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and the fuel refilling forms are accurate.
Coordinating fuel deliveries to terminals.
Conducting regular inspections of fuel storage tanks and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Collaborating with other departments, such as Finance and operations, to optimize fueling processes.
Conducting regular inspections of fueling equipment and reporting any maintenance needs.
Instruct Truck Drivers and Operators on fueling best practices.
Ensuring compliance with regulations related to fuel storage, handling, and disposal.
Handling any fuel-related emergencies or incidents efficiently and safely.
Receiving of incoming deliveries from various suppliers. Ensuring the goods delivered are in good conditions and that received quantity matches the purchase order and invoices.
Dispatch returned defective deliveries with proper documentations.
Identify discrepancies and report low stock to procurement department to initiate re-ordering.
Issuing of item base on submitted properly signed and authorized Item Request Form.
Ensure the storage and fueling area are clean, secure, and organized. Adhering strictly to Health and Safety and PPE regulations.
Perform any other duties related as assigned by his/her supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

Certificate of Secondary Education
One (1) year experience performing manual work is required;
Ability to plan, multitask and manage time effectively.
Must have manual labour skills.
Must have basic numerical skills.
Must be able to react quickly to emergency situations utilizing proper safety equipment and procedures.

REMUNERATION:

A competitive package with statutory benefits as per the law. The contract is for two (2) years, renewable upon successful performance.
